Your right to data erasure (GDPR Article 17)

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Step 1: Send Request

    Send an email to support@taxlyai.nl with subject: "Delete my account". Include your registered email address in the message body.

  2. Step 2: Verification

    We'll respond within 24 hours to verify your identity (we may ask you to confirm from your registered email to prevent unauthorized deletion requests).

  3. Step 3: Permanent Deletion

    Once verified, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 7 days. You'll receive a confirmation email when complete.

Request Account Deletion

Data we will permanently delete

  • Account information (email, name, password hash)
  • Profile data (account type, preferences)
  • All uploaded documents (payslips, contracts, Belastingdienst letters)
  • AI scan history and analyses
  • AI chat conversations
  • Subscription information (if applicable)
  • Salary tracking history
  • Free monthly unlock records
  • All session data and cookies

Data retained for legal compliance

Important note: Some data must be kept for legal reasons:

  • Anonymized transaction records (7 years — Dutch tax law requirement for ZZP businesses receiving payments)
  • Aggregated, fully anonymized analytics (no personal identifiers)

This retained data cannot be linked back to you personally and is used only for statistical compliance with Dutch financial regulations.
